Palace x Calvin Klein is...yeah..what exactly?

Newest collaboration between super brand Calvin Klein and UK’s answer to Supreme, Palace has recently been reveiled to the public with William Dafoe as testemonial. Our take on today’s brand collaborations is very obvious and clear. This seems to be another proof that we are not really wrong. On the one side, iconic and culture driven Calvin Klein which shaped the commercial fashion landscape especially in the 90s with edgy and controversial marketing, and on the other side Palace, which tucked in collaborations like Juventus Turin, Adidas and best in class project Ralph Lauren. Especially this collection with Ralph Lauren was so strong and significantly fused both brand’s approach to apparel that compared to the sweat and basic driven collection released with Calvin Klein, it feels like an attempt. But not more. The potential was simply not unlocked and seems like a waste. Sometimes it is better just not to do it, instead of doing it for the purpose of doing something.
